Default 1-2k RPM

To those who are supercharged:
How sluggish are your cars from 1-2k rpm? I have been slipping my clutch a bit to get the revs up to avoid being in this range since I got my blower going. With the A/C on it feels like I'm towing someone. Is this normal?

I don't feel sluggishness from the Vortech SC. It is probably the heat you are feeling. Don't slip the clutch or you will end up changing it sooner.

I have had no issues with the car as you describe. I've even just returned from the Bay Area (Napa Valley) where the temps were absolutely stifling (over 105 at road level).

No more sluggish than stock, though I never use the A/C.

Is it a sense that the engine is going to stall?

Or, more that you're not experiencing any added power down low with the SC?

If the latter, then it is perfectly normal. The blower does essentially nothing below about 4,000rpm.

It really feels like I have a ton of weight in the car. I have to mash the gas to get it to take off correctly and then after 2.5k rpm it just starts to pull.

Hmmm no hesitation from mine. I get a little bog when the car is cold, but that's because I'm running super rich...my EMS map needs some tweaking but I'm too lazy to fix it, and to cheap to have someone else do it.

Low speed driveability was pretty much stock with my old Vortech.

It might have to do with my P1106 problem. The odd thing is you can watch the revs rise just fine but the car almost feels like its cutting out fuel or something.
