Default 14mm bolt hold just forward to header

Hey everyone-

I am finishing up the odds and ends while waiting on the finishing adapters for the oil feed line for the turbo. I was putting everything else back together and I noticed a 14mm bolt hole that is just forward of where the header mounts on the passenger side of the engine. I am wondering what goes in this hole? It does not remain open, right?

I think it may have something to do with the secondary air system that I removed a week ago when prepping for install, but am not sure.

Should I just plug the hole with a bolt? Or is there something specific that goes there? Definitely a 14mm bolt too... much larger than any other bolts around it, so it seems logical that it serves a purpose.

Thanks again.. sorry for my noob-ness.

John

^ I thought the VTEC Solenoid was right above the oil pressure sensor... but I could be wrong. This is just rear of that, above the forward most of the header studs (the last stud toward the front).

Remains open,

This is generally where people mount thier engine dampers to.

Awesome. I thought I saw a few pics of header installs in the gallery that had it left open. What was the purpose of this from the factory, if anyone knows... There is nothing from the OEM header that mounts here either...

Thanks

I think it's an attach point where you would mount a bracket when removing the engine, pretty sure the manual shows it as an attach point. That's what I used it for.

I just looked at that yesterday, thought perhaps I had forgotten if the heat shield went to it or something.... hmm I think i'll be doing a bit of motor mount support there myself as well.
