planning on putting in engine with stock new OEM short block for mild reliable forced induction, plan on roadracing motor with S/C and then Turbo

i'm interested in 2.0 to maintain reliable 9000 rpm redline, what if any power disadvantage or other negative issues would you think arises rather than 2.2

Without having much experience to tell you anything it seems both ap1s and ap2s can be setup for reliable FI.

a 2.2 will produce more torque at the same rpm as a 2.0 would. However, you won't be able to rev it as high safely as you would a 2.0. Try working out the type of power your looking to make in regards to the type racing your doing!
