6262 V band flange problem

I dont have a V band flange, but my turbo set up is similar & still made good power.
3" opening at back of turbo,
downpipe is 3" diameter but the flange reduces to 2.5".
Its the IP 3" downpipe which I guess was made with a smaller turbo in mind, hence the smaller flange.
