Advice
So, I had the car re-tuned on Friday and was somewhat disappointed with the results. I had a 3.5" (9lb) pulley, 3.5 bar map sensor, new plugs and an AEM
euego installed (from a 7lb pulley). The car was originally at 305whp and around 185-190 torque with the 7lb pulley and now with the 9lb pulley its still at 305whp, needless to say it is a bit frustrating. The only change I made to the car was going back to stock exhaust and adding 4.57 gears. The tuner I used this time told me that the original tune on the car had too much timing and air fuel ratio spiked to 15.1 when v-tec kicked and then came back down to around 12.7 and leveled out.
He basically corrected the timing and brought the air/fuel to 12.5, I'm not sure if I have un-realistic goals or that something is not right? Anyway the tuner I used this time suggested I try methanol/alcohol injection and showed me some dyno graphs of before and after with a couple of cars and there was almost a 100horse difference. Is there anyone here who can recommend or not recommend doing this or who has done this and why? I understand that it is safe as long as the bottle/tank is kept full and actually keeps intake temps down and creates a rich condition. Can anyone shed some light on my situation?

I didn't read your post much and I doubt it'll be a whole 100whp but it'll give you something. Your limiting factor can mainly be due to timing since I am assuming you are running stock CR. If you have the AEM EMS, this system will work without the need of another "computer" to drive the high speed injector:

The choice is upto you. It'll end up both costing the same with the gasket and labor involved. I'd probably go with the water/meth injection over the 2mm HG since some people have blown a few out and the reasons I don't know.
Reading through some of the information here, it looks like I am almost maxing out the efficiency of the Comptech unit. My original goal was to get to high 300's or 400whp, I was planning on using a 2mm headgasket and a 3" pulley. Somehow I dont think its going to happen, considering I am at 305whp now with a 3.5" pulley. Anyone think I can get to 400whp with a Comptech unit?
The other problem with going with the headgasket, is that once you crack that motor open, depending on the miles, you might have to surface the head, or deck the block. Some issues that might rear their head.
If you go water injection, I would only buy one kit, the Aquamist that KaneS2K has on his site. This is the best. Water injection won't make you richer, necessarily. It displaces air in the combustion chamber, which might make you a bit richer. But water will also allow you to run more boost, if you don't turn up the boost and just run water, you'll lose power.

Well, I can't see having any head issues if I do the headgasket, seeing as the car only has 14,000 miles on it. I'm also talking to Sean Glazar at Extreme Motorsports about the methanol/alcohol injection. I still would like to know what max boost is available with the Comptech at 9000rpms and if anyone is at or near 400whp with there Comptech unit. I'm surprised Xviper has not tapped in on this one-the guy is really well-versed on the S.
