Default Tech 2 7lb pulley for comptech

I'm considering buying a tech 2 7lb pulley.

This pulley is designed to compensate for the .5lb loss caused by an aftercooler. I bought my kit used, and the FPR has never been messed with. As far as I know, the kit has always been installed with the AC.

My question is... can i pop this pulley right in and NOT have to mess with the FPR?

Duff, you could install the pulley, but will need to dyno and get an a/f reading. It's possible to "tune" the a/f by adjusting the fuel pressure, but this must be done on a dyno or with an in-car wideband 02 sensor/gauge. It's also important to know your injector duty cycle. I think stock injectors are good till about 320rwhp. You might be able to get by with upping fuel press and vfac.

You may want to Dyno first then consider installing pulley.

I have the same setup. I bought the pulley but dynoed first and found I was getting 7 psi without it.

Be careful. I'm actually getting as much as 8 lbs from that pulley depending on weather conditions. And you definately do need some tuning for that. I wasn't comfortable w/ my A/F's using just FPR adjustments. I ended up getting a vafc.

I ran the 7# pulley before upgrading. No VAFC, but the FPR was adjusted on the dyno. Stock injectors can handle it, but it's close to maxxing.
