Kyushin how much boost?
the esm changes the signal to the ecu, but the fic also changes the signal to the ecu, 2 changes who knows what the ecu is thinking or how it is reacting?

Let me know if I can help you out, you have my tuning prices, if you are looking for some injectors or pulley let me know.

Im gonna stay with the Comptech stock pulley, I just want that hiccup gone if it means pulling the FIC all together. I dont wanna go with other injectors and a smaller pulley until I just get the AEM Standalone or the Kpro since they have proven more reliable for tuning.

If you can take out that hiccup with removing the ESM that would be great, I just hate that really rich spot thats happening.

I am in Tampa, FL

I still would pull the esm (i installed) & fpr (todd installed), let the fic do its job with mapclamp and increasing duty cycle on injectors, you have to many things conflicting with each other.

I don't want you guys that are still watching this to think I abandoned the project. I have finally driven the car with the ESM remove, F/IC installed and I am using stock injectors and the Comptech FPR at the moment.

At WOT from idle to approx. 5,500 rpm I am getting plenty of fuel. The wideband shows 11.5-.8 ratios in that range. Right before, or right about 6,000 rpm it does lean out significantly. It goes to 13.7-14.0 a/f ratio. While that may not be terrible, I know I am dangerously close to maxing out stock injector duty cycles.

I am, however, working on scheduling dyno time in the coming weeks to install the 440cc injectors and put the stock fpr back in. Then we shall see what she is made of!

Damn that sounds alot leaner than the stock CT setup, you must be using a higher boost pulley.

One question I had you might know; i tried to unplug my FIC and use the bypass harness and the car did not return to stock like drivability, it was idiling very rough and threw a small blinking cel... my guess misfire or some crap. I plugged the FIC back in and everything was fine.

BTW are you getting a strange hop or hiccup in the 4-5k rpm range under partial throttle?

so the bottom line is that no one is having good luck with this unit at all. it looks like a great option.

I think many people have been coersed into going with a full EMS and some of the ones that have tried the F/IC have given up early. There are a few of us really trying to work out the bugs and issues with this unit though.
