[QUOTE=SuzukaBlueAP2,Jun 18 2009, 07:46 PM] I think many people have been coersed into going with a full EMS and some of the ones that have tried the F/IC have given up early.

Ya, im on the verge of pulling it out all together...

SOOOOOOOOO...it has been a little while since anything was posted in this thread, but, I want you to all start getting very excited. The S2000 and I have an appointment this monday w/ the dyno. And I am not leaving until a.) I am satisfied with the tweaks of the F/IC and my power or b.) my car blows up.

either way I am bound to learn something. haha

stay tuned guys! lol get it...stay "tuned" hahahahaha

Has anyone tired it without the FMU and tuned by a proffesional tuner?

Yeah cost me a motor, I took the fpr out but left the esm in. Probably should have taken the esm out too, even though it should have no bearing on the tune being only there to hide boost to the map sensor. It might have been enough to create added problems in the closed loop tunability however.

Alright. I took my S to the dyno today. After the shop got it strapped down for me it was time to tune away. I ended up making 23 runs in right around 2 hours. I probably could have spent more time, but, I was pretty satisfied up to this point. The first run was 244whp. You take a look at the chart and see if I made good progress.

I had 2 spots that seemed very difficult to make rich. The first was around 4000 rpm. For some reason I had a hard time getting the a/f radio under 13:1. And the other was right at 6000 rpm. I was running 10.8:1 right around 5800 rpm and then just after VTEC crossover it would jump to 13.5:1. The F/IC didn't quite have the finite adjustment in the cells that I would have wanted. But, eventually I was able to get it down to 12.5:1.

Any who, I am happy with the end result. I am running the 440cc injectors and I actually believe that 550cc would be the way to go with this unit. I had to push these further than I anticipated to achieve the a/f ratios desired.

And I actually stuck with -1 degree of timing per pound of boost in my map as well. After getting the fuel in order I tried many different options with the ignition and none ended up resulting in better power than -1/lb of boost.

Anyone care to discuss?

Interesting results! Did you alter VTEC engagement? Also, do you have the hiccup in the 4-5k rpm range? For me it goes very rich, my wideband reads a 10.0-1 when it does this...

How much boost are you using? You might wana talk to Mike @ Autowave for further tuning because he did mine with a Stock CTSC setup and made right aroudn 315 rwhp I believe. Stock injectors and ESM are still in place with the FPR.

Sounds to me like you have this down to a science almost, but my prob is it goes too rich for my taste, 10.8 ish under boost.... but this isnt too rich is it? I need to study up more on tuning and the goals so I can be educated enough to comment.

I have read quite a bit but what is the issue?

I know it has a built in map clamp, so why were you running the clamp provided by others?

It seems to be better supported than the Emanage and could not believe it would a harder to tune. All it has to do is be able to copy and paste and it would work much better. I am working with a local member and I am persuading him to try it as an alternative to the Emanage to overcome some of the horrible issues with tuning it. I am ecstatic about using the system as the boost controller and VTEC controller w/o having to screw with jumpers and trying to figure out ways to make everything work they want.

You talked about closed loop tuning, the AEM have a global injector offset? There should be no need for closed loop tuning for bolt on FI.

Thanks for your input
