Anyone know what drill bit and tap is needed for the AEM nozzle install? Does it matter what angle the nozzle is positioned?

I plan to put it in the aftercooler outlet. Less than the 6-8" spacing before throttle body but that's the only option.

Dyno appointment is Friday morning for new tune!

I installed the 3.6" pulley on today and new belt. Forgot how annoying it is to do with vortech kit. Have to pull entire blower off. Pain in the ass!

Only thing left is to drill and tap aftercooler which I'll do tomorrow. Found the 1/8" NPT tap locally.

figured I'd share my input here: just installed a meth kit from coolingmist.com. I installed the pump in the fender, right below the windshield wiper tank which I am using for the meth. It came with clear hose so you can see the fluid. I placed the nozzle at the exit of the aftercooler, right before the coupler to the throttle body. it was an 1/8th NPT. I am using a manual boost pressure switch, which turns on the pump when it reads a certain boost.
I do not have an LED to show when the system is spraying, I also do not see any drop in IAT (50/50), I assume this is because the sensor is placed on the intake right before the novi 1200 blower. Do you guys see any changes in temps or any AF ratio changes in fuel using your ECU data readers? mine is flashpro.

I have not dynoed yet with the changes, I will be curious to see what you guys gained and how much timing you were able to advance etc.

I got the nozzle installed today. Connected everything except the wire going in to ecu. That will be done at tuning appointment.

That's what I installed the nozzle as well. It's about 5" from throttle body so I'm sure it's good there.

Put the solenoid inline a little before the nozzle. You can hear it click open and then it causes a little spurt to come out the nozzle but I don't think that will be an issue as it's a tiny amount of fluid.
Having the solenoid inline will be a good back up in case the check valve get's stuck open which would allow the engine to siphone the water/meth if it wasn't for the solenoid.

Anyways took a quick video of testing the flow out the nozzle.

The aem pump is fairly noisy when it winds up high but oh well. I don't think I will hear it over the exhaust screaming.

I've read it should just hum but mine makes a loud vibrating noise. I have heard other videos sounding the same.

What wire goes to ecu? Thought it was a standalone that operates on manifold pressure. Are u talking about the failsafe?

Pump sounds pretty normal to me. You will get better start-up spray and no dribble using a regular nozzle without the check valve. My friend ditched the aem nozzle with built in check valve. He had a devils own nozzle and solenoid mounted onto the intake tube. The check valve is not needed if you mount the solenoid close to the nozzle. The check valve will drop the pump's pressure if used. There was no dribble at all when nozzle was mounted onto the solenoid. I noticed on your video that there was a dribble after the spray.

The wire is for the failsafe setup with aem ems.

Yeah there is some dribble once it shuts off but I don't think that will cause any issues. That little amount will evaporate.

Maybe I will swap out the aem nozzle then in the future. Tuning is tomorrow morning so no time to swap out before then.

Any update on this? I am finishing up my SOS kit with 3.4" pulley. I was thinking of adding some meth.

What mixture water/meth are you using? Also what arm size nozzle are you spraying?

using boost juice from Summit, really not a bad price and it's premixed 50/50. the nozzle size is a CM5 from Cooling mist
