AEM Smart Coils
I had an Motec M400 for a couple years on my Subaru back in 04-05.
Honestly I didn't see anything special about it. Other than it was expensive, and everything I wanted to do with it cost more money and needed "unlocked".
I sold it for more than I paid for it and never looked back.

They don't cost nearly that much if you get them from the right places. There's a big difference between the pnp subie/evo stuff and the gold box too. If you don't notice a difference I'm guessing you don't tune your own car? AEM works ok if you're not trying to get a lot of extra stuff working, or if you don't care about replaced a coil now and then haha. Personally as many coils as I've seen burn up I couldn't use one. I would gladly pay the extra to know a track weekend or day isn't going to be ruined over malfunctioning electronics. Sometimes I drive 20+ hours to events if I got there and my ecu lost a coil driver id be livid.
Not to mention how buggy/slow the software is. To be perfectly honest though its really the tuners problem if you don't tune your own car none of that stuff matters. You can always carry extra coils and just hope the drivers don't go.

I had an M400, not a PNP unit. And at that point I did tune my own car.
I like how condescending you are. It's nice.
I made over 100 passes in my car this year. All across the country. AEM never left me stranded.
But this thread IS starting to turn into a pissing match, when its supposed to be about their new badass smart coils.
