Yeah, I've got a set of Yukon D585's just in case the stock coils aren't up to the job.
When you can buy 8 of them for the same price as 1 x OEM COP unit, I'm not that fussed about £40 for a set of HT leads making....

So how much wireing would have to be done to use the Yukon coils I'm looking for a set that will hold up to 900hp on e85 and not brake cost as much as the turbo haha

Maybe a combination of things that added to the coils not working for me.

Just got a set of new ID1000 injectors put in, car ran a whole lot smoother than the FIC1000cc injectors.

Might try again in the future...

Did you solder or crimp the connections? And id1000 bosch 900 are so much smoother then others. People don't know till they try. Then they know lol

All connections were soldered. Not a fan of crimping.

The FIC's came as a packaged kit.

Tell me about it..I spent a ton chasing down the ignition breakup from day one.

Installed boost a spark. Replaced the walbaro 255 to Fullblown 340 then relayed it. Tried a variety of spark plugs. AEM coils.

For my level of boost, I think the BAS made doesn't make a difference.

I'm interested in the smart coil setup but would like more info as to what needs to be done to properly install them. Can the experienced give an overview of what is required (do you need to change the wiring completely, can the AEM EMS drive the coils or do you need an external driver i.e Twin Fire). Thanks very much.

You need to add/change some wiring, but you have to do that with any ignition system. Yes, the AEM EMS coil drivers will drive these coils with ease, and no external driver is needed.

If you follow the wiring instructions, and practice good wiring/connections, wire size, etc. you won't have ANY issues with these. Just completed my 2nd full season with these coils with no issues at all.
