AEMv2 firmware
At some point or another I updated the firmware to my AEMv2 .. probably when I went back NA.. now I put my turbo stuff back on with different hot parts and my base tune won't work because it's an older version.
I think my EMS is 2 02 and the tune is 1 24 -- I've looked into possibly converting the tune but it's saying stuff about resetting the timing and all kinds of other stuff.. then another option was to reset the firmware on the EMS but then you have to use a serial port only setup to your laptop and I don't think I have anything like that at the moment.
Anyone ever dealt with an issue like this where your tune was too old for your firmware on the EMS? How'd you go about fixing it?
Thanks

I updated my V2 EMS firmware as one of the first things I did when installing it, not realizing that my tuner would be using 1.24 instead of 2.02. I was able to downgrade (and upgrade) the firmware using the USB cable - I don't even have a serial cable or port on my laptop. Not sure why you wouldn't be able to
Based on the conversation with my tuner, it is preferrable to run the 1.24 firmware vs. updating the calibration file to 2.02. He also doesn't feel that 2.02 is operating correctly, which is why he won't use it.

Really? I've not heard that before.
What issues is he referring?

It's been a while since we discussed it, but I think it was something about closed loop operation. This was from Jeff Evans, so a pretty reliable opinion, I think.
