Default ap1 head + ap2 block does that work?

I have a fully built ap1 head in my garage all ready to go and my buddy has an ap2 block fully built. I was wondering if anyone knows that these will bolt together and slap right into the car with no further modifications such as wiring or transmission?

any feedback is welcome

thanks!

The actual heads are the same, same Honda parts numbers too. It is the Cams that really make the fucntional differance. There is other differances, but minor.

As long as it's not a 06 and newer AP2 cylinder head they can swap. 06 cylinder heads have no air injection ports machined in them. Camshafts and retainers are different between the 2.

Not trying to thread jack but, I think my question is more or less the same.
What is the difference between the API 00 to 03 cams and the AP2 04 to 05 cams?
