Sweet, love when the mods go thorugh and change titles.
I don't think he is asking about the NUTS onto the stud.
He is asking what is the torque spec of the stud into the block.
The paper should tell you to screw the stud in by hand and MAKE SURE you do not mess the threads up inside the block.
Once you get to the bottom, ARP says to unscrew them a little bit so its not resting on the top thread. They you torque it down with the nuts to the proper torque spec.

ftlbs. PB had on his paper and he said incorrect

We did 85 with a small extension, so im hoping that backed off the torque a few lbs.

When threading the studs into the block you don't want them to be too tight. I used an allen key to thread them in and out a few times to spread the moly lube. I then "finger" tightened them, as I used my pointer finger and thumb and gently screwed them in until they just touch the bottom but are still loose.
i know this is an older thread, but i couldnt find any information under search or google. please respond with the correct answer guys...
does anyone know if you can install these studs into the block with the motor still installed? as you all know how hard it is to pull just the VC off of the motor with the engine in the bay than i would assume the head would be a little/ or alot harder to install.
im getting my head back from alaniz pretty soon and i've been purchasing parts to get the head install back in order without any major problems.
ARP studs or OEM bolts???
