So there is a crack -___-

I took it to my friend who could weld it back up. After he took a look at it he thinks that this was caused by user error when it was welded together. I don't know the full story yet, but hearing what he said makes me think so as well.

He did an emergency weld for me that day. I was planning a drive to Skyline with some friends.

VHT all the things. The same friend had this scrap piece of aluminum and it turned out to fit perfectly. He said it must have been lying on his garage floor for a year or more

 

That sucks man, but glad you got it fixed.

 

Thanks man. My friend ended up just welding it back up, I told him not to bother with breaking it off. If it does crack again (pretty likely) I will either move to another manifold or find a way to brace this one.

Have you contacted track forged about this? I have the sidewinder track forged manifold for the past year/10,000 miles with no issues so far but I'm always alscard that it will crack sooner or later.

 

No not yet. I modified my manifold so I am sure there is little they are willing to do. Their sidewinder mani seems to be proven and is what I should have gone with from the beginning.

dam that sucks, you should have had tracked forged fix it first as they might not honor fixing it now
