yeah, I dunno, I almost want to just get rid of the car, because if I know If I keep it, I will keep dumping money into it. But could you imagine (SpecOps knows of course) how bad ass and what it must feel like to have a 500RWHP S2000?

At what point do you need to start building the motor up and going with a tubular mani to get like high 400-500 hp?

Ah young grasshopper....you will soon learn that maintaining a 500whp Honda is not an easy task nor easy on the bank. I went the opposite way in going from a 450whp Honda down to something more conservative and streetable with the Greddy kit on my S.

If axle busting power is what you are looking for then you definately need to get rid of your Greddy kit and be prepared to start dumping loads of cash into a new kit and the supporting mods that are required or better yet get yourself a vehicle that can support the gobs of power you are looking for. Ask the boys at InlinePro what it's like to maintain their 1/4 mile beast, heck ask any member on here with 400whp + that daily drives their S how mcuh is involved and required.

Good luck!

It never ends man. I'll probably never need to use all the horses I have, or will end up having, but I like the feeling of knowing that at any time I can put my foot down and be faster than most everyone else, or I can break something.

I am in the same boat as you JB (OP). I am fanatic about my current boost, but sometimes it'd be nice, I'm not gonna lie, it'd be f#@ken awesome to have an inline pro kit and mash the throttle to the tune of 450whp. But alas, I live in CA, the nazi-state, and I'd much rather lose a once-in-awhile race to a faster car than to have to an officer issuing me a smog-referee appointment or hauling my ride away because of other complications. Paranoid? Nope, it's happened before.

same exact boat as me.

that's why i'm trying to maximize what we have while making it relatively easy to still pass smog.

cost wise of course I would have gone inline if I didn't live in cali

oh well! I'm happy!

Regardless of the vehicle, "speed costs money." How fast do you want to go?
