Very true.

The only thing is I'd always prefer a larger bore and smaller stroke to get more liters than keeping the bore stock and adding more stroke due to piston speed. But either way you will be fighting a setback, whether it be thin cylinder walls or a crazy piston speed. Obviously sleeves will add some material if the route with a larger bore is preferred.

Thanks for the input. Looks like it won't matter now, cause I just bought an AP2! lol
I found an amazing deal and simply couldn't pass it up, so I jumped on it. I won't be picking up the car for a couple months, but I'm stoked nonetheless!
Congrats!
Thanks bro, got an 04 Silverstone with 65k miles for only $13k
Can't wait to pick her up >.<

That is one hell of a deal

Thanks, I knew I couldn't pass on that one, bought it the day after it was listed for sale!

AP2 drivetrain parts are stronger, and the engines dont really make a difference, so an AP2 would probably be your best bet. (Glad you picked one up!)

The only thing I would look for if I were to buy another s2k would be to make sure I got an 06+ because the tuning solutions are just SOO much easier. 00-05 tuning solutions really suck, especially if you have emissions in your state.
Interesting, why do you say 06+ tuning is easier? Are you talking about specific roms or the actual ECUs compatable? I've heard such good things about Hondata, that's what I was planning to go with?
06+ can reflash the stock ECU. Essentially make the stock ECU fully programmable, rather than having to replace it entirely and lose a bunch of oem functions. Some people may prefer a standalone ECU, as you will have more control over everything. But coming from someone who learned and tuned his own car after several months of researching / inquiring with other big name tuners, ill tell you my time tuning could have been much easier if I didn't have to retune some of the parameters that were just fine In the stock tune (decel fuel cut, throttle tip in, air temp fuel enrichment, AC fan timing, idle air control etc) basically a bunch of crap you didn't know existed until your car is running like crap/getting horrible mpg because some random parameter is way off the in basemap or was overlooked by your tuner

And before people say it's user error, these months of retuning were done after the car had been e-tuned by someone who is highly regarded as one of the best in this community. Not ragging on him, but it's my opinion that the AEM EMS is just way too complex to be tuned through emailing data logs.

Ive had both engines boosted in my car & blown up both engines lol. The nice thing about the F22 is that you don't need to change the oil squirters.

AP2 retainers are stronger as well. While I do like the Flashpro, I choice my 05 for boost, do to the drivetrain, valvetrain, didn't want drive by wire and after 06, no return line back to the fuel tank.
