Is there enough slop in the bolt holes on the manifold that you could loosen them and push the turbo over about 1/8" towards the engine, hold it there and retighten?

I'm not sure... The only way to know would be to pull the entire kit out of the car again..
Last time it took me an entire day (8 hours) to swap the turbo.

Well the car sat in the garage all weekend and I didnt even crack the door open.

I'm debating what my next move will be.

(1) Try and loosen the four turbo nuts holding the turbo on the manifold and see if I can clock the turbo away from the frame rail.

(2) Remove the entire hot side of my turbo kit. (Manifold, turbo, downpipe)

I am unsure if I can do number one as two of the bolts are hard to access.

I am still not a happy camper over this and I'm really getting tired of having things constantly wrong with the car and continually dumping more and more money into it. I contemplated the entire weekend weather it's possibly time to just part the car and move on to something like a stock 335I or 335D or weather i should try and keep the project going.

my S was completely stock when i got it, the mounts were busted to crap.

OP: there might be a little wiggle room in the holes on the mounts, try loosening everything up and holding the motor to the driver side, then tightening everything down.

It could be that with the busted stock mounts the motor had shifted or was leaning/sitting lower and now that its in the "right" spot things are rubbing.

The bolts that go in the aluminum part of the mount is pretty tight tolerance, I don't think this would make a difference...
This turbo wasn't rubbing like this before and wasn't on other peoples cars.. It's "suposed to" fit.
