Yeah I saw that as well, the guy boosted inb low&mid range for huge torque and fast spool up and than slowly reduced the boost all the way to redline. It was a great tune and I would like to do the same
Hmmm.... I don't really agree it was a great tune, using too small of a turbo on purpose so that it gives you a 100 ft-lb torque gain in a matter of 900 RPM, lasting for only 1500 RPM and then losing that 100 ft-lb between 5500 and redline. Kinda weird actually and not very usable. I'll take a flat torque curve please. That dyno is from a Dynopack too BTW, which tend to read a lot higher than Dynojets. From lowest to highest: Mustang Dyno, Dynojet, Dynopack....

[/B]I found this on the BRP site if anyone it interested

[I]Ok, we are ready to get the ball rolling on this thing. We need 6 guinea pigs for in-house installs, 2 of which have already committed. We are doing this in order to make sure the kits and documentation are as perfect as possible when we start shipping.

We have the following two options available:

Base kit w/ A/A Intercooler, Full Installation and Dyno Tuning (6 PSI). This version will make a minimum of 270 RWHP. The cost is $5,995.

Base Kit w/ A/A Intercooler, Boost Upgrade, Oversized Throttle Body, Blower Porting, Full Installation and Dyno Tuning (8 PSI). This version will make a minimum of 290 RWHP and will probably end up closer to 310 RWHP. The cost is $7,195

There is a $2000 deposit required to reserve a spot. The cancellation penalty is $250 with at least 3 weeks notice or a $500 cancellation charge after that.

Here is the schedule for the in-house installs:

Week of 3/27: One 2.0 Install (Reserved)
Week of 4/3: One 2.0 Install (Reserved)
Week of 4/17: One 2.0 & One 2.2 Install (Both Available)
Week of 4/24: Two Spots Open for 2.0 or 2.2 (Both Available)

Please keep in mind when looking at the power levels quoted that the centrifugal based superchargers would require 30-40 more peak horsepower to equal the acceleration of one of these kits and they still would not offer the lower rpm power benefits.

What are the prices going to be without the install and tuning?... I'm in Cali and there's no possible way for me to get all the way to Greenville. Thanks

That does include full installation and tuning one would hope the actual price is ~700-1000 less for the kit, no install/tuning.

I've done some research and I still haven't quite figured out why this roots type supercharger has such a flat torque curve compared to a centrifugal supercharger. I love that it does...but could someone please explain why. Thanks in advance.

The roots type blower makes a lot of boost right off idle- in many cases full boost is from 2000 rpm to redline. A centrifugal SC only makes full boost at redline. For the centrifugal, the boost curve looks like this
boost @ current rpm = max boost * current rpm / redline rpm

PC HOTROD Performance estimates for an AP2 at 278whp

Very interesting.... I don't think any base Comptech kits are running numbers like this. Granted this is a computer simulation.
