Was it Gerdaland that put a Novi 2000 blower on his car? From what I remember, he ran into more problems than expected and there werent any gains.

The BRP kit will not come with a larger fuel pump/bigger injectors. Apparently the stock fuel delivery system is adequate for this power level.
I know the stock injectors are good for about 320 WHP, but I'm not sure that the stock fuel pump is up to the task. It doesn't seem to me that Comptech and Vortech would include a fuel pump in the kit if it wasn't needed. Except for the pump though, and keeping the ECU/MAP from seeing boost, 320 WHP should be doable with an otherwise stock motor/fuel-system.

Didn't somebody do some air flow calculations earlier in this thread? Given the air flow rates we should be able to get a good estimate of the fuel flow requirements.

Both the centrifugal kits use a rising-rate fuel pressure regulator. The only way this can function properly is with a high flow fuel pump. The ELF has the ability to get more out of stock fuel injectors. After speaking with Brant the other day, the ELF really does seem like the shit. He is going to put the ELF on a Comptech supercharged S2000 and see what they can get out it.

So to summarize, the BRP kit doesnt need modifications to the fuel system. Not at this state of tune at least. Down the road, if they decide to pursue a higher boost level, the stock injectors will most certainly have to be pitched. He told me that the base kit runs them at around 90-95% of the duty cycle.

As I understand it, the Comptech system has to run a 90-95% duty cycle at pressures that are marginal with the stock injectors to supply enough fuel at max torque (assuming AC and Comptech high-boost pully) when making 300-320 WHP. How is the ELF going to get the same amount flow (or more) at the same duty cycle without increasing the fuel pressure?

Regardless, as long as the stock ECU is retained, CARB certification should be possible.

Good question. Probably one better answered by the BRP guys.

Anyone have their install date or ship date finalized yet?

It stinks that they didn't wait a little longer to start designing so that they had one for the 06. Do you guys think that's it's possible for it to be compatible?

This project has been in the works for around a year and a half now if I recall. In fact, looking through my saved emails, I have an email from Brant dated 11/3/2004 about them working on an S2000 kit (I used to have a Miata).

I would assume the only thing that needs to be addressed would be extending the wires to the throttle body (for the drive by wire throttle valve). The '06 also has a returnless fuel system, which shouldn't be a factor since they are using the ELF for fueling. They should be able to adapt the ELF to work with the '06 ECU. Of course, with the '06 ECU being programmable, there may be even more options for '06 owners (Hondata?). Jackson Racing uses a Hondata ECU for their RSX supercharger kits that makes nice numbers.

Apparantly the first batch of Beta kits should ship by mid June.
