Just found this today through another post and read through all 14 pages. I am really liking what I read. I'm looking to boost the power of the S just to make it more fun (weekend car). Didn't really want to go the turbo route since I have been there and done that with my old 12sec 1st gen neon. I was acut thinking of Comptech/Vortech but a roots was always the most ideal set up for me since you get the best of both worlds and reliable power .

Def keep the thread updated I still have sometime til I decide which route I'm taking but the roots setup has def taken my interest. Thanks.

Mike

Looking forward to this kit, I would probably pick one up some time in the next few years. I want to see an inlinepro stroked 2.5L engine with this kit on it.

Any update on the pulleys yet William?

Any rough estimate on what it would cost to put this kit together? How far along is SOT in the R&D stages? Are they in production / pre-production (marketing) yet?

Been on int'l business/vacation travel the past few weeks. Decided to clean the car for the first time since I got it back from the body shop (AP2 front conversion) and noted a couple of flaws in the work (I think I am being overly picky) so the car is going back to the shop on Friday or Monday to get them corrected. Not to mention that the current ambient temps are still hitting 90 during the day here in Arizona......

Hoping to play with the pulleys as soon as I get the car back - should be cooler in a week or so also.

I could guess on the kit price, but would rather not - I will check with SOT if they are ready to release the info on pricing, etc.. I am pretty certain the kit has been finalized for the most part and they are real close to finalizing a deal with a distribution channel.

Awesome. Are you going to run an intercooler / aftercooler? I am assuming the kit will come with all the AC lines?

I am currently running an air to Water IC (pic below) - it has proven to be quite efficient and effective here in the Arizona heat (115+ during the summer months).

I discussed the AC line options with SOT and the thinking is that they will offer the kit with the AC lines as an option. Some people may elect to have their lines modified locally, where as others will want to order them with the kit. I had my AC lines modified at a local AC shop for $108. I recharged the AC system myself, but would estimate the cost at about $60-80 if you paid an AC shop to do it. The entire AC line mod job with recharge should not cost more than $250.

I am not sure if they will offer the IC kit as an option or not. Someone may want to try an air to air IC at some point though.

What is that bulge in the intake plumbing of the non-IC picture? Looks different from the piping on Page 1. Also, that piping is REALLY close to the passenger Strut Tower... How much does that thing move with the added torque? How close does it come to hitting/rubbing?
