Bulkhead fitting instead of tapping the oil pan?

Weld on aluminum fittings with male AN flares are available from seevral manufactures including XRP. Weld directly to pan to keep things simple.

We tried the bulkhead fitting and had a leak at startup. We ended up just welding an -10AN male on there. No problems with oil leak.
