Bulkhead fitting instead of tapping the oil pan?

I had an -10AN welded to my pan, no issues. I too wouldnt trust the threads to not leak. Welding the fitting is the way to go.

Can we see some pics of the tapped girdle?
This seemed like a good idea to me, just didnt want interference with rotating assembly.

We tried the bulkhead fitting and had a leak at startup. We ended up just welding an -10AN male on there. No problems with oil leak.
