Cam Timing with Supercharger
It looks like I may be the first one to do this! Although it wont be back to back on the same day, I have dyno'd my car last weekend and may be installing JUST the keys soon and dyno the car again. We will compare the SAE corrected number so lets see what happens!

Alright guys.. this is going to be a pretty long post! Get ready!
So, I will start with my mods on the car:
Vortech SC V2 w/ 3.55in Reichard Racing Pulley
UR FMIC
KPRO
1000CC FIC Injectors
FB340 Fuel Pump
Stock exhaust
T1R test pipe
Last weekend, I got my car dyno'd at Drift Office in WA (Dynojet) and heres the results:
Uncorrected:

SAE Corrected:

One week after, which is today, I had drift office slap on the cam keys according to this diagram:

Right afterwards, we did some pulls, and here are the dyno graphs vs last weekends pulls:
Uncorrected:

Sae Corrected:

Last weekends weather condition was about 45degrees and 63% humidity, and this weekends weather condition was about 49-50degrees and 65% humidity.
It seems as though not only did the cam timing keys not help for my car, it actually caused me to lose a shy less than 10% power on top and some power throughout the whole powerband.
Needless to say, I spent some extra money to take the keys off. I knew starting this that I may be disappointed, but I didn't think a situation would arise at which point I would decide to actually take off the keys right away.
I am not saying this results may be for every single person out there and would like to see someone else, possibly with some extra cash lying around, to confirm/refute this test.

Wow, that was totally unexpected.
That graph looks like what you would expect if they installed the keys backwards +2,-1 instead of -2, +1 and increased the overlap.

Sideways, from now on can you please clarify in each time you post advance and retard specifications that you list them with the word advance and retard. When you say +2,-1 or -1,+2 nobody knows which one your referring to as the intake or the exhaust. (or at least I dont)
Thank you
Im sorry to see you lost power with the keys. I really should do another dyno with my car, I just never got around to it, like many other people
Did you do tuning changes when you install the keys, or did you tune the car without the keys, dyno it, then install the keys and dyno it?
Thank you

I had PMs with Sideways a long time ago when I bought the keys. Here is what he said about advance and retarding the cams.
"From the front of the engine, both cams rotate to the left, counter clock wise. To advance you off set the cam to the left.
I retarded the intake and advanced the exhaust."
The more I read this, the more I think the picture I made that is posted above is incorrect. Sideways, even though I think you have seen this picture and we have discussed it, please confirm it is correct for everyone. This is the way I have my cam keys installed

lets say you put the keys in reverse how much is it going to cost to reinstall them and get it dynoed?im in for pitching in money to get this back to the dyno.im glad it lost that much power if the keys are in backwards, should mean correctly installed should give at least 5%
