I had PMs with Sideways a long time ago when I bought the keys. Here is what he said about advance and retarding the cams."From the front of the engine, both cams rotate to the left, counter clock wise. To advance you off set the cam to the left. I retarded the intake and advanced the exhaust." The more I read this, the more I think the picture I made that is posted above is incorrect. Sideways, even though I think you have seen this picture and we have discussed it, please confirm it is correct for everyone. This is the way I have my cam keys installed
Looking at the picture diagram with the keys. Looks like you retarded the exhaust by 2 and advanced the intake by 1.See it counter clockwise. In the Pic the exhaust key is offset to the right retarding the valve opening -2 and the intake key is offset to the left by 1 so basically its opening 1 degree faster = advanced.
Offset moves the cam in relation to the cam gear. The lower part of the key is the offset. In the diagram above on the exhaust the lower part is offset to the left thus advancing the exhaust cam. On the intake side the lower part of the key is offset to the right thus retarding the cam. Both cams turn left (counterclockwise.)
The drawing and the orientation of the keys is correct.

The degree number imprint is on the left side of the key when advancing and on the right when you want to retard.

Yea...I know. I was asking him because he's a friend of mine. I just can't get to PayPal until tomorrow. I also wanted to be sure to get you the money asap.

Icic. Text him and see if hes willing to. If not, tomorrow would be fine. I am in the process of emailing Drift Office at the moment to set up another round to clear this as myth or truth once and for all! This time around, I will be taking pictures of the exact way they will be installing the woodruff keys, so there would be no doubts on how it may have been installed.

Gift money sent ($40 from Brian and myself). How many people have officially sent $$$?

I also sent you a PM Sideways about my setup and concerns about if I have my keys installed properly.

I have sent Sideways a PM to attempt to clarify exactly how it is supposed to be put on.

So far, we have 5 payments! I already emailed Drift Office and will probably be calling them tomorrow right after work if I do not receive an email from them by then. I will attempt to set up an appointment sometime before this weekend to get this going!
