Comptech S/C oil return line?

Default Comptech S/C oil return line?

I got my kit but the part that threads into the oil pan is too big...... There is a piece that threads into the line itself but the one end is too big to fit the drain bolt. Anyone know if Im missing a piece or if I can get a new one????? Where can I get it/ or what do I need?????

I'm pretty sure you have to drill a hole and tap new threads into the pan for the return line, it doesn't thread into where the oil drain bolt goes. Think about it...how would you drain the oil when it was time to change it then?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question?

You do not tap a hole with the Comptech kit. Vortech yes.

The Comptech comes with an adapter that screws in to the drain hole. The AN hose screws on to this, not directly to the pan.

You need an AN fitted adapter than is threaded like the drain bolt on one side and mates to the AN fitting on the hose. You can order this from Earl's or just contact Comptech directly and ask them to overnight you one.

Asura's right. Just go to any speedshop place and ask for aeroquip or earl's fittings. They're blue and look nice too.

You can call up comptech, or look up size fitting on the instructions, then order the part through summitracing website

I stand corrected then. I was mixing up Comptech and Vortech installations.
