Sounds like great customer service from kraftwerks. Hopefully you find out what the issue was.

Well having billman install the kit is kind of a warranty in itself ..
I agree about the over night it was 100 bux .. They could have absorbed that .. But I personally was happy .. Cause I can make it to the track most likely .. And they sent my parts first..
And yea I would like to think that if this problem wasn't public I'd get the same treatment .. But who knows ! It seemed like the smart thing to do

While true, don't forget that some did have to pay a core charge of $1000 for that to happen. Did OP also have to pay a core charge? Customer service seems headed in the right direction but the end result and when he gets the core charge back will be the true test. The kit appears to be a strong one minus the initial issues and a little competition is always a good thing. I feel that the overnight shipping charge is fair to collect up front but if the kit failed, then KW or Rotrex should be liable for the overnight shipping too. That would be exceptional customer service!

I have had two experiences with KW customer service. I bought my kit in February when they were having a hard time getting all the right parts in the box the first time. I got a charge pipe coupler that didn't fit. I e-mailed KW and told them that I did not need the right part in a hurry since I was installing the kit myself. But they shipped it 2nd day air anyway.

I also had two of the three bolts that hold the V-Tec valve and blower bracket to the head break. When this happened it spewed engine oil on the bottom of S/C oil can and the engine oil filter area. It also allowed the bracket to move around which chewed up the gasket seal. I believe that the root cause was that I didn't torque these bolts down properly and they loosened up a bit and then broke. I contacted KW to order a new seal. Instead of selling me one, they shipped me a new seal and three bolts 2nd day air for free.

Well... Update .. =(... Assembled everything and went to start the car and it cranked for 3 seconds and clonked then stopped ...I took the blower off to find that the blower won't spin .. All other pulleys are fine ... My mechanic said it has to be defect cause even with no oil it should at least run .. Engine cranks with out the blower fine ... .. Well I tried to make it to my track days and failed .. But not on my behalf .. I have to wait till tomorrow to contact kraftwerks and see what they're gunna do .. I gotta say I'm really feeling uneasy about this ..and just lost 400 bux on my track days

This is really getting out of hand... My friend Joe just installed his kit a couple of weeks ago and the vtec solenoid bolts broke at the track this weekend...I don't think he has 300miles on his kit...

is that caused by the kit? doesn't sound like it... i think this kit needs work to be trackable. either a bigger oil cooler + cooling (rad; etc).
