Maybe KW should re-issue a pulley 1/4" narrower? Hopefully they can find the problems with the bolts.

This is really getting out of hand... My friend Joe just installed his kit a couple of weeks ago and the vtec solenoid bolts broke at the track this weekend...I don't think he has 300miles on his kit...
is that caused by the kit? doesn't sound like it... i think this kit needs work to be trackable. either a bigger oil cooler + cooling (rad; etc).
What does that have to do with bolts breaking......

Update ...
They received and checked the blowers .. First blower will have to be sent to rotrex with my explanation of the ordeal and see if they can figure out what happened...second new blower that they sent me that blew right away they said the blower was spun backwards 4 revolutions .. And he said when I started it that it seized .. I don't totally understand how that works ... But he said they don't know who did it .. It could have been someone over there not necessarily me ( it wasent me ) .. So new stuff is headed out to me no charge... Let's see how it goes from here

Can any one explain the mechanics behind why spinning the blower in reverse is a problem? Doesn't make too much sense to me that it would cause the blower to stop short when instarted the car .. Thanks fellas

Why don't you call rotrex about it because they wrote the manual. I'm sure its likely due to the very close tolerances and the friction needed for the blower to function properly.

Are you getting another replacement or are they blaming you for the issue now.

if turning the impeller by hand backwards can damage the unit so quickly, they should have something through the impeller that stops this from happening until the unit is ready to be installed. I know there is a hanging sticker that says this...but anything can happen. I find it crazy that a revolution or 2 can damage it so quickly. I hope my -81 hasnt been spun backwards by the packaging crew. who knows...installing in about a month.
