I think it is the old "cutting off your nose to spite your face" thing here. Not saying Jason was right or wrong but if S2ki is going be judge and jury on every vendor that makes one mistake and bans them soon there will no vendors left. Jason has been on the site for over 10 years. He has probably helped 100s if not 1,000's of people.

I think it is the responsibility of the buyer to check out who he is going to use for what, and even then you can still have issues as the OP knows first hand. Banning him (the vendor) closes off communication between us and them in this public medium, I do not see what good that does.

Personally speaking I rather not have vendors censured out for me.

Very rare I read all pages in a thread but I did with this one. It's a shitty position for buyer n seller here due to the distance but the company should do what they can to make things right especially if it was there own engine and their own installer who put in all the wrong parts from the start. If this company needs to recoupe their loses by selling this item to someone else before they can refund the full amount back then they're in some serious trouble so cutting costs somewhere doesn't surprise me at all.

If it were a one off thing, it might be acceptable but it's not. Jason does not seem to care about customers who are distanced from him where he can screw them over and get away with it. It just so happens that the original poster is a lot more hell bent on getting his money back so good on him. I wish I were that determined to get even a fraction of my money back from his terrible work but I'm just a believer that what goes around will come around and with actions like this, I truly wonder how much longer his "company" will be around and if it is, will it be just a matter of time until he screws over the wrong customer. Maybe the OP is the wrong customer.

Possibly you have read my posts but briefly. ...I bought Fernando 's(Kings Performance ) built engine out of his race car that he was parting out.I was told it was good and had only done 1000 miles from being built.I took his word for it and the price was half a new built motor.Straight away I came across problems....stripped threads and broken cam carriers, amongst other things.

I looked after the motor by spraying wd40 into the bores and turning the engine over with a spanner on the crank every 2 weeks.Once my tuner put a startup tune on it he decided to drop the oil before putting it onto the Dyno. The oil/filter/sump plug were covered in metal filings. He decided not to tune it and stripped the top off, there was very bad det damage to the pistons plus the bores were badly scored.

Fernando offered to have the engine back for a full rebuild and paid all the expenses including the shipping. This he did and told me it was a new block, piston rings and big ends and main bearings.I asked what pistons he had used as replacements,he said he had re used the original (det damaged)ones.

Once I had a startup tune on the car it started up quite noisy,my tuner diagnosed piston slap.I passed this info onto Fernando,he said all his engines are built like that.I then proceed to run the engine in with a running in tune on the ecu.I then took the car back to my tuner for the full power tune.Thats when the problems started to show op,the piston slap was so loud it sounded like it would blow up on the Dyno. The blow by was blowing the dipstick out and ejecting engine oil from various breathers.Clearly this wasn't right,I told Fernando and he wanted videos and leak down test.

At this point I had fitted the engine, then I had paid my tuner to remove the engine and do a strip down inspection.I sourced a replacement stock engine, paid my tuner to install it and tune it.I then removed the stock engine, fitted the rebuilt engine, put it on a lowloader for a safe road tune.He was asking me to throw more money at the engine just to prove what my tuner had told him.At this point I began to realise dealing with him was a lost cause because A,All the issues were purely down to myself and my tuner being incompetent.B,he completely failed to see my point of view regarding how much money had been spent on putting his original (1000 mile old)engine right,Castle far as he was concerned it was everybody else's fault except the real person.....his engine builder.

I could neither trust him or his engine builder to build a lawn mower never mind a 1000 hp engine. So I've decided to buy all the internal components and get somebody I can trust to build it for me.
This is really a terrible tale of woe. I was a small, cash strapped business once but I did take care of my customers. Sounds like they bit off a lot, landed a big deal, and poor quality control with "contractors" (outsourced engine builders) and little to no quality control/inventory security has cost them an otherwise solid reputation here. I think by now I'd be on a cheap flight from France to come collect my money, ten grand is a lot of money. That is what my return to OEM with new engine/trans/exhaust cost me.

Mr. Pitts story sounds a lot like an engine that I "bought" from Jake Monnans who I thought worked for Full Blown in MN but it turns out he was the customer with the 1,000hp drag S2K car. My excellent local shop in the Mid-Atlantic, Daisy Import Auto Care, and I paid for this fully built turbo motor (Benson sleeved, CP pistons, Kings head, much more) for $4,000. I was doing a build sheet as it was described and found that CP didn't make pistons in the claimed compression ratio. I asked Jake who then said maybe they were Arias, alas, they also didn't make that ratio. He then started to sound like he wasn't sure of the build specs so I alerted Ben Schaeffer who called Full Blown. Interestingly, immediately our $4000 was credited to PayPal! Guess they didn't want to mess with Ben and his stature in the NSX and Honda communities with was turning into a scam. They said they were going to part the motor out but I'm wondering if it was sold to someone else.

I found a perfect low miles donor car (side impact) and went back to OEM which cost me $10K after all the bits and pieces, a lot of extra labor, etc. I do SO miss the 430hp but I've got a car forever now.

So, now I have a 10K miles short block, (have receipt), 44K miles head, all plumbed for filter relocation, turbo fittings that needs to be cleaned up, pressure tested and re-assembled after overheating at the track, blew headgasket and turbo bearings at the same time from loss of coolant. Ready to rebuild the Garrett Ball Bearing CHRA and drop it all in a shell with intercooler, Greddy single. Haven't decided if I'm going to rebuild or sell the entire turbo set up to someone else for their project. Full race, ram manifold, Precision wastegate, Tial BOV, plumbing, intercooler, the works. With Joe Simpson tune was putting out 430hp on 1000cc injectors with good AF balance. Decisions.

Here is the documented from my worst day of 2015, devastated only four months since buying the car on the rollback going to Ben's, to gutted looking horrid and then, gradually, everything reformed to fit like new again except with a killer radiator increasing cooling capacity by 1/3. A lot of extra labor, reinstalling new crash bars, welding up the OEM exhaust, so many little (and expensive) bits and pieces.

And here are the pics of the original turbo setup installed and all of the parts after removal:

As a business owner myself, customer satisfaction is number one. After all the customers are your boss who pays you because it's your profession. Despite being overseas or around the corner, a customer should be respected and treated equally. The trust is being brought to the shop for an order to be completed then the agreed payment is compensated. Id expect what I paid for to be done honestly. I was actually going to purchase the stroker kit but now I guess I'll have to make sure inline pros isn't the same kit. I hope you get some funds back buddy.

had a bad experience with cnc, no where near as bad. I pm'd them about a 2.4L na setup. They told me a 2.4 crank with stock ap1 pistons would be good for a pump gas street motor with occasional traking. They told me it would put me around a 14.1 compression, and that it would be able to rev well past 9k.

I canceled my order.

kept my mouth shut because, well they were vets. but if i was to of assembled that motor it wouldn't make it past 5K with my driving.

Let's not forget about Laskey Racing. Mike is extremely thorough and builds extremely reliable engines.

They've been banned from this forum so probably no help here.

I hope you didn't though! Best bet is Facebook or other forums they may be involved with
