AusS2000,

Ill be running a cometic 2mm gasket on my GT30R setup, shooting for 400+whp. Ill let you know what happens.

I sell tons of cometic gaskets and never had someone call back.

[QUOTE=YuriArts,Jan 31 2007, 09:41 AM] My opinion is that lowering the compression to 9:1 ish you are losing engine

There is a place locally that makes the trick O-rings you can use with the gasket. They also make gaskets 0.55, 0.81, 1.02, 1.09, 1.39, 1.6, 1.78mm, and custom.

Check out the O-rings : http://www.headgasket.com/whnew.html

My 2mm cometic gasket leaked after few track days.

Now I am installing 3mm Inlinepro gasket with new turbo set up.

I've heard bad things about the cometic gaskets and lots of stories of failure (not just on S2Ks)

Is there a 2mm out there that isn't a cometic brand? maybe one that requires some sealant?

Not a chance. When you pull the head you are opening some major cooling channels.

Best bet might be to drain coolant first and if you haven't changed it in a while, replce with new stuff.
