Thumbs down Comptech S/C Problem... SOLVED!?!? (PICS)

Alright, so I was driving home last night, and all of a sudden my Godzilla BOV (which is usually making a lot of noise off throttle) is suddenly quiet...

If you've heard one before, you'd definitely realize when it wasn't working

So, here's my question... I got home late, and this morning I felt around the BOV, and there wasn't anything stuck inside it or blocking the sound/air...

I don't know much about these things, so I guess I'm going to take it off and inspect it when I get home from work today.

Right now, I still feel like the S/C is working fine, but when I go off-throttle it sounds like a "wobbling rubbery" sound??? (I obviously made that up, haha)

Any ideas on what may have happened?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

EDIT:
After taking apart the BOV, this is what I found...
There is a tear in the gasket inside the top hat.

I have attempted to seal the tear using aquaseal (rubber repair glue and sealant used to fix wetsuits, rafts, etc....

Hopefully this will hold until I can replace the gasket.

Try checking your vacuum feed to your BOV. You might try to actuate the bov manually also.

Check your vacuum lines.

Any change in your BOV is a tell tale sign that something is wrong.

I would start at the BOV itself and check that it is still functioning properly.

The most common occurance for the change in sound would be a change of boost pressure.

If the BOV was sounding normal....and now sounds like a "gobbling turkey"...then that is telling you that you no longer have enough boost to open the BOV.

Start checking your belt...your intake and all your transition hoses to make sure everything is sealed and tight.

Thanks for the responses so far...

Here's the biggest question I have:

Am I doing any damage to the car by driving it right now?

I mean if I'm losing boost, and the car feels fine (No CEL's) I'm basically driving the car N/A right? Just like if I took off the S/C Belt?

Possible causes of boost loss:
Vacuum Line leak
Belt slipping or broken

Anything else I'm missing that I should check?

Thanks again guys!

Also check your couplers. I had one blow off once with my old Vortech and lost all boost.
