change ESM to the "synapse missing link" one. its mechanical as oppose to electrical. and try to get a boomslang or frog harness, it saves you the hassle.

the esm is already soldered in. Spending 160 bucks on another harness, AND removing the ESM, AND buying and installing the 'missing link' is not worth the trouble of just soldering in the vafc wires

except the fact that the ESM wont even work because the VAFC adds and removes fuel by increasing and decreasing the MAP voltage. The ESM clamps the map voltage at around 2.92 volts electronically and due to this, the VAFC will do nothing in boost. You have no choice but to go the missing link route and ditching the ESM.

i have a non-ac pending install and i am also going to be running a vafc (to trim the excess fuel). the kit i have is an old one which did not come with an esm box but had something like a check valve. this comptech kit has been updated since then and i'm not sure about the reliability of the check valve or if adding this cheap synapse missing link should be a part that i should purchase. anybody have experience with the comptech non-ac check-valve versus the esm?

i searched through all the venders average price for the missing link was 'bout $60 but the damn sites were claiming 1lb, 2lbs, even up to 4lbs for shipping on this item. what a bunch of dishonest crooks! shipping was going from $10 to $25 for this little tiny item. i finally found a somewhat local vender (fl) and they gave the ups ground shipping for FREE. nipponpower.com ftw!

now take a look at that pic, does that really look like four pounds? not even four ounces and that's including packaging.
