I had asked a question about cams in a supercharged vortech and was told that the toda cams overlapped. I don't know how to read cam specs but if some one could explain this it would be very helpful. I also was curious if just one toda cam could be used such as the exhaust because the sc is already putting more air in the intake or would it cause more problems due to tuning or problems with vtec.
Thanks

Vortech or one of these new hybrid turbo systems, my opinion.

On the Spugen forums they said the Vortech is harder to install but less stress on the engine compared to the Comptech which is easier to install but more stress on the engine is this true? I was going to find the thread but the Spugen forums are temporarily down

vortech is by far the better one man. thats not just opinion. every car mag under the sun especially super street and compact car pic the vortech yes comptech has a good track record but i want power not really something just adds alittle bang. so to tell you the truth i think they both suck ass i'm gonna get a turbo cause turbos are better and add more power and theres 3 company's about to make turbos for the honda s2000. if you don't feel lie waitin then go have one specially built for you. oh and by the way the super charges have had complaints of cracking the heads maybe its just the heads people use dunno. but comptech exhaust sucks ass too. get the veilside makes it sound loud and mean too you can put a silencer in it though and the exhaust is only 6 pounds i know its off subject but it will go nice with a turbo

this picture should tell you what I decided to go with.

so far roasted 2 240SX turbos running gobs of boost pulled 5 car lengths on them by the time I hit 110.

stomped a 350Z and then toy'd with him. roasted a formula firebird and then he wouldn't play fair he wanted a 2 car length head start at 80 mph, at which I couldn't gain anything on him.

turbo's on anything but a S2000 probably kick ass. But for now... safe, reliable, bolt on, plug N play vortech has it hands down. $3750 find a turbo kit that you can buy for that price.

I haven't had any prior installation experience and neither did my buddy that helped me and we did it in 3 days.

I will be hitting the dyno in the next week or maybe even Friday.

I'll post the results as soon as I have them!

I talked to Comptech today--their intercooler will be out soon. Yes, the Vortech is less expensive than the Comptech-Intercooled SC, but I don't make $8/hr and I'd rather spend the extra $$$ on Comptech.

Why? I've always tried to support any company (except Compuware) that supports racing--especially a company that follows up with developing and selling products that are available to the public.

For proof look no farther than the latest C&D with the Comptech SC S2000 that smoked 15 other entrants--including an EVO--in a tuner shootout. The results demonstrates not only Comptech's engineering and tuning superiority--it shows their solid commitment to the S2000.

Well after I have my car dyno'd... Will we see another 300+ plug and play kit. It takes a little tuning on the comptech to get to 300+. Those results are posted all over this board.

It was 108 degrees out here in TX today, would a comptech non- aftercooled SC make it through the day, without severe performance loss or detonation? I don't know but the vortech unit was just humming with no problem. I didn't experience one bit of performance loss.

Performance for dollar = Vortech. I don't make $8 an hour either.

You spend your money the way you want, maybe that is why you need to make more than $8 an hour. Just an observation, I had to say something especially with a comment like that posted.
