What is the best way to increase low end in my '00? I'd like to be able to light up the rear tires.

Gears - 4.77's if you don't drive hiway too often, 4.44's if you do.

I'd say there is an improvement from about 3500 up and that's low end in S2000 terms. And although it's nothing like the kick in the pants from 6K up it's probably a greater improvement that you could achieve with 10K of NA mods.

Gears (low end) + SC (top end) = Heaven.

I have heard, however, that an SC w/4.77s would simply be "too much," and very hard to control. xviper, your thoughts?
