Default Correct Install of ID1000s for 2006-2009 Ap2

Finalizing my SC install and I am trying to get the ID1000 Fuel Injectors correctly put into my 2006 Ap2.

The instruction from Injector Dynamics says that "the supplied lower cushions will press against the factory cushions". However, there were no factory cushions in my manifold when I removed the injectors. Are those instructions a requirement for 00-05 models only maybe?

Based on pics I've seen, I was thinking of maybe reusing the O-ring from the factory injector and place it on the ID1000. The injector fit "snug" when I did this, but I am not sure if this is correct since its not described in the instructions, but it "looks" to be right IMO. The third pic shows the ID1000 injector as is on the left and with the OEM o-ring on the injector to the right. It looks right to me, but I dont want to f$*& this up.

So what is the correct orientation of ID1000 injectors for 2006+ models and are the supplied 8mm washers needed to be installed under the mounting studs of the fuel rail (between the studs and the manifold) for an 2006+?

Any pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The 06 and up does not use the cushions, washers, or spacers on the bottom it's just the standard 14mm o-ring on top and bottom. You also do not need to clip them in the rail. Just put them down in the intake with some lube on both o-rings and install the fuel rail.

So is the pic of the ID1000 injector with both the factory ID and OEM o-ring correct?

This is what I did, I reused the OEM rubber as well as what was already on the ID1000 and it’s been great so far on my 06

What do you mean by "factory ID"?

What I mean is that small rubber ring that is already in place on the tip of the ID1000 fuel injector. Refer to the injector on the left of the 3rd pic.

That is just an o-ring retainer that holds the actual o-ring on. It doesn't serve a purpose other than that.
