ctsc non-ac reliability?
Sure its reliable under non race conditions and low boost. Making sure the fpr is adjusted properly so that your not running to lean is key. It was calibrated from CT with stock exhaust in mind, so if you have a header, tp or even just a cat back you will run too lean and will need to increase fuel presure. The 4-5 psi you will get running that pulley on your ap2 is going to be pretty easy to run safe and should help some with your otherwise leaning condition from exhaust mods, but it would bennifit you to check your afr sooner rather then later, get a wide band, that way you dont have to pay a tuner until your ready to step it up big time.
I ran the base none aftercooled kit on my 01 at 7 psi for a few years with a FMU tune and had no issues.
But the only reason why I did that, was because CT hadn't come out with the aftercooler kit yet. I pretty much got it as soon as it came out. If anything, for the extra peace of mind. I did consider running a FMIC before the aftercooler came out, but I didn't like the lost in boost from most of the people whom went that route.
