Good luck with the rebuild! Post a video of first start up!

I too have young children and you quickly realize how valuable your time is! Hope you can get it running quick. Love the F87 comp as well!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone. Found some time in the garage on Friday and made good progress. Not to brag, but I forgot how sweet this setup looks when it’s together. Ha.

Put all this stuff on, hardwired the injectors too. Supercharger belt will remain off for now until it’s primed and coolant bled.

Unfortunately, when I was plugging in the knock sensor, the plug wouldn’t quite clip on. When I pushed just slightly on the little tab on top of the plug it snapped off! So, other than that and an upper rad hose clamp… it’s ready to fill with oil, coolant, prime and fire.

Got everything connected (upper rad hose, vacuum lines, catch can lines) torqued the block coolant plug in, filled it with oil and a couple gallons of coolant.

Just need to gap the new set of plugs, and install/fix the knock sensor plug. The new plug shipped and arrives this thursday.

Can’t wait!

Running! Proud to say I’ve found zero leaks and zero CELs! She sounds like the sewing machine she should.

I don’t have the supercharger belt on, I figured I’d wait to put the extra load on it until tune time.

Got the coolant bled as well. Now time to re-do the fuel system. Haha.

Great feeling with engine builds when you turn key and they run as they should

Ordered all my fuel setup stuff from radium earlier today. An hour later I received a shipping notification. Love it!

I already have the ap1 fuel hanger and the AN adapters, so I think I have most of what I need. I just need to figure out how I’m going to route the fuel feed line as I intend on feeding the fuel rail from the front. I’d like to tuck it under the intake runners but there isn’t as much room there as I thought. We’ll have to see once I get everything in hand and mock it up.

Nice! Were cylinder walls treated with any coatings to prolong engine life and prevent bore scoring over time? Like Nikasil or?
