Default Do i need to retune when i switch MAP's?

I currently have just the stock MAP on and the tuner is tuning my car tommorow and i told him just to tune it at 10psi right now which will be fine on the stock sensor. But i will be switching it to an Omni or gm next week and i didnt know if i need to get retuned? I am using AEM EMS version 2 i know i have to go into setup wizard and switch to the one im getting but is that all i have to do after i switch them because i plan on going back up to 12-13 psi of boost after. Please all the advice i can get is good thank you.

Yes you will have to retune. You will have to start completely over on the tune. It would be much better/ cheaper to Install the new sensor first.

Cancel your tune and just wait till you have the new sensor installed

If you were swapping out the same exact MAP, you wouldn't need to. But switching to an Omni or GM sensor will require you to pretty much start over.

It's better to tune using your new MAP sensor, but...

If your initial calibration is accurate and you're decent with Excel, it's possible to swap the map sensor without additional dyno or street tuning. The key is to ensure your fuel and ignition maps are the same for a given load point as the original tune and the new MAP sensor reads accurately. If that's true, it's not too challenging to replace the MAP sensor (excel spreadsheets and the features built into the AEM software make it relatively easy). I would check some data logs before and after the swap before calling it good though. Note, this does require revising your tune, but it shouldn't require more dyno time.

What tim said. Though it's waaaay easier to just have the new map sensor already in before ur tune.
