Does a Comptech SC KIt feel fast?

boost will always be linear with a comptech s/c as its driven by the crank pulley... you can run a higher psi pulley which will increase boost at all levels.. but full boost will always be at redline
Boost is not linear with a centrifugal supercharger. The flow rate increase is somewhat exponential in the stock operating range. Once you go to a higher ratio pulley, you might see a linear response and then ultimately, you won't get any additional flow out of the blower once a certain speed is reached.

Regardless...the boost is not linear.

So there is no way to make a pulley or anything that can make it come on sooner correct? Probably answered that but I couldn't see anything that really said about that.

Man i dont know if your in the right car. They way this car makes power, you will never get put back in the seat. I make 470whp and by the time my power kicks in im used to it and never get leaned back.
Just because you are used to it doesn't mean it isn't pinning you in the seat. 470 HP in a car that weighs 3000 pounds with driver is still pretty substantial. Hop in the passenger seat and let someone else drive for a bit. When you aren't the one pushing the accelerator and you don't expect it, you will feel what it's truly like.

Your transmission might last a little longer, too. (I kid, I kid!!! )

Take a look at the torque curves. This will give you a good idea of what the car will "feel" like in any particular gear. As you can see, even the Comptech kit with the stock pulley provides more torque than stock from as low as 3,000 RPM. Is it more? Yes. Is it substantial? Eh, not really. Not until you reach VTEC at least.

The design of the KW blower allows much higher flow rates much earlier in the rev range.

While the comparison is not direct, notice the difference in the KW Hi and Lo boost curves. You can expect to see similar results when upgrading pulleys with the Comptech/Vortech units. The biggest impact is up top.

not with a comptech and the limitations you have set (stock injectors, blah blah) you could do the BRP (sp?) roots style sc which will be out soon if you want low end power/tq or go with a greddy turbo.

The BRP roots blower has been "almost ready for production" for almost two years. It is not proven. I know there are a few guys with them running just fine, but the kinks are not worked out and it's not a turn key package. The tuning options for it are anything but install and go.

I can't tell you how glad I am that I did not place a deposit with that company.

Yeah that looks real nice still. That is on a stock pulley correct? Is there an approximate number on how much power per psi is gained with the Comptech SC kit?

It could vary per application, but, a general guideline of 10-15 hp per pound of boost is probably pretty accurate.

So one other question. Gears or Comptech SC?? Which would be more of a performance increase? Would assume the SC but maybe I am wrong?

Yeah 10 whp gain is what I have heard with my other car with a turbo. So I would guess it stays around there with similar size engines at least.
