Does a Comptech SC KIt feel fast?
Well I read the post and you can use the emanage blue I guess, but I heard the ultimate is better. Sounds like you need a harness for the AP1. It is all in the tuning of it etc. I am in no way an expert on turbos. PM soul coughing, he runs this setup and is your best resource if you want to go this route. Most guys on this site are willing to help you.

Well that turbo kit is under 3 grand basically. What else would be needed to do it right? Seems to come with everything.
You NEED a clutch...that's $1400-$1900 right there (if you can install it yourself, then it's $1000).
Gauges, hoses, missing parts, welding bungs, and miscellaneous is an easy $1000.
Good tuning is another $500.
There is no cheap way out, and there is no point in looking for a way to re-invent the wheel. S2000+FI+Cheap doesn't exist.
Like others said...it's A LOT more expensive to do it right the second time around.
For $1000, I'd much rather get a brand new Greddy kit than a used UR kit. Think long and hard about FI. There is no way to do it right under $5000 IMHO.

If you don't have $5000 clean for FI, forget about it. You will be in the poorhouse in no time.

So does the same go for the Comptech SC route? Am I going to have to spend all that extra money as well? Seems to be a little bit more reliable out of the box without the need for everything else. I don't mind down the road going with a clutch and all. And buying the sc kit used. I can always sell for about the same price I get it for. I already have gauges I never used on my eclipse. I have boost, water temp, oil pressure, air fuel(bs i know)
No, the comptech 5psi unit you can run it without a clutch setup and you do not need to tune it. If you want more psi, then you need an engine management set up and bigger injectors which you can do later. Again, if money is an object then stick with the used comptech...set price you want to spend today and stick with it. The moderators post is correct!

Alright well one more question. I am really torn because I know I will like the turbo power more and having the torque down low will be much more fun.
So how good is the ultimate racing turbo kit? Is it really a direct bolt on? Do I need to buy anything else? Are they reliable?
Here is the one for sale on the board now. I would need to buy an AP1 harness for the emanage. But I could then sell the dbw harness so wouldn't cost more I wouldn't think.
What do you think? I could only buy it if the price came down a little bit with the newer turbo though.

i suggest wait it out a bit.. take a few rides in some cars and then make your decision

Boost is not linear with a centrifugal supercharger. The flow rate increase is somewhat exponential in the stock operating range. Once you go to a higher ratio pulley, you might see a linear response and then ultimately, you won't get any additional flow out of the blower once a certain speed is reached.
Regardless...the boost is not linear.

Ryan, are you going to be in Paramus tomorrow? I was thinking it might be easier to meet you during the day for a few minutes then down in Edgewater. At least from Paramus Park we can jump on the Parkway south for a good flogging for an exit or two and loop around. I doubt there will be any good places to really open it up in Edgewater especially with a ton of other S's around, might get someone calling the Po-po's on the whole group.
The windshield is getting replaced now but I should have the car back by 10am tomorrow.
