Does a Comptech SC KIt feel fast?

FYi - I bought a stock crank pulley off a local metro member for $45
I will take responsibility for the OP's question...I am the one that told him that the car won't feel any faster. To back myself up, here is a little story.
While I love my s2000 to death (I will never get rid of it), the Honda powerband does get old and annoying. Yes, if I lived in a gorge in the south of France, and could flog it top down, on a mountain road, the s2000 is fantastic. However, we don't live in a gorge. Most of us live in an urban city environment. So, I wanted to upgrade.
At the time, I had the cash, and wanted more oomph. This was back when Ultimate Racing was the FIRST turbo kit out. However, there were so many problems with turbos back then, I couldn't deal with it. I am far to busy to deal with turbo BS. So, I opted for a Comptech/Vortech solution. However, at the time, the supercharger setup was about $5000, and I wanted to make sure it would be worth the money. I asked one of my local members for a ride....a 340rwhp Vortech s2000. Ripped it 1st through 3rd. I found myself asking "is that it?" It was not for me. Although I didn't drive it, the car FELT the same as stock. Even though it was faster, in daily living driving...it wouldn't be. It would not fill the void that the s2000 had.
So, that option was out. 2 years later, I began to fall out of love with the car. So many new cars were out that were faster, more comfortable, had more features, etc, that I actually thought about trading my car in. However, something inside me just couldn't let go. I love the car too damn much. I went back to the drawing board. At about this time, Mike (XclusiveAutosports) had a lovefab setup, dynoed at 350rwhp...but man, what a car...it feels like you are strapped to a catapult. I knew that the turbo powerband is the way to go. However, the more reading I did, the more I got scared off the turbos. Too many problems. So, I began to wait.
I then went down to the dragon, and took a ride in Williams car (WLAURENT)....and wow...I was sold. The roots blower was the way to go for me. Turbo powerband, blower reliability. And so, I started to wait for them to come out....after months and months, nothing.
About a year before this, I installed a Greddy turbo in my friend's RSX. Completely changed the car, and besides a few minor hiccups, the car has been bulletproof. I also learned all the weaknesses of the Greddy kit, and was very excited when the s2000 kit was announced. However, knowing Greddy, I didn't want the first production run kits, and waited....and I'm glad I did.
After correcting all the weakspots, I am extremely happy with the kit. Power is instantaneous...there is no wait. Stomp on the throttle, and you're somewhere else. In the real world, the car is INSANELY fast. Passing in 6th is a breeze. if you are in third, you can have almost no room to merge, and fly right in. The power is EXTREMELY usable.
Now of course, the 500+hp guys are laughing, but to me, there is a fine line, and IMHO, 300rwhp or so is all the s2000 needs to become one of the best roadsters ever made.

Don't run 7psi with the UR FMIC kit on stock injectors. You will run lean. Especially with a TP and bigger exhaust. Cooler intake temps = more condense air = more power. Your stock injectors will be out matched.
This whole "10hp or 15hp per lb of boost" crap is completely ridiculous. There are so many other variables to take into account.
Get the kit on a 5psi pulley and see how it feels for you. But if you want something that will put you into your seat a little bit, get a turbo kit. It delivers power earlier in the power band and more torque. Do it right the first time.

Alright well one more question. I am really torn because I know I will like the turbo power more and having the torque down low will be much more fun.
So how good is the ultimate racing turbo kit? Is it really a direct bolt on? Do I need to buy anything else? Are they reliable?
Here is the one for sale on the board now. I would need to buy an AP1 harness for the emanage. But I could then sell the dbw harness so wouldn't cost more I wouldn't think.
What do you think? I could only buy it if the price came down a little bit with the newer turbo though.

All I can say if you go turbo then do it right the first time. Your original thread seemed to state you were getting a good deal on the used comptech. If money is a concern, then stick with basic bolt on comptech with 5psi and enjoy it for awhile. Going turbo is not a cheap way to go if you want to do it right! Set a $ limit you want to spend and stick with it.
