Default Dumb Turbo question. Will Check Engine light.....

...come on when I install turbo kit. I dunno why Im asking this, jus something Id like to find out about. I did some motor work and nitrous on my Dodge Neon R/T and on occasion Id trip the check engine light. The code was Down side O2 sensor, I replaced it and would get the code on occasion. I jus reset the ECU ea. time.

I was jus wondering.

Thanks

To answer your question... a properly installed turbo kit will not induce a CEL.

The peripheral parts such as straight pipes will but can be adjusted with a fowler.

If the turbo kit itself sets off a CEL...it's due to some serious problems.

The kit itself if properly tuned with engine management and correct A/F ratios...will not set off any CEL's.
