There are plenty of options available to ensure that you're either made aware that the methanol is low or the flow has a blockage, along with plenty of options that ensure you return to wastegate boost levels or lower levels of timing. I had methanol injection on my EVO and it was fantastic... sure as hell beats putting race gas in everytime you want to turn up the boost and it's a lot cheaper. A gallon of methanol lasted me over a month constantly. It's just like checking your oil when you get gas, you check the methanol... it doesn't take a genius. Methanol injection will be going into the S2000 as well. I can't sing it's praises enough. Do some research before you ask a somewhat pointless question and clog up a useful thread.
While the water/meth mist cools the intake air ALOT, the main benefit is what happens in the combustion chamber, sucking up heat as the water converts to steam.
