E85 Question
I try not to. On 80% of the cars I tune and work on I install boost solenoids that work with the ecu. If I have to then Grimmspeed or Perrin.
Can you send me your # or the cost of those solenoids to look into purchasing one. Since you tune, if I were to raise the boost, is the a/f the main thing to check in ensuring it stays around 11.1-11.8 or do I need to look at the timing as well?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help.
Correct. Air:fuel is only half of it. The ignition timing needs to be in the ball park as well. If it was tuned properly it will be.
On a side note, my darn wastegate bolt broke off again. So it sounded like i had a big exhaust leak since the wastegate was loose and my a/f on idle went to 16-17. When driving it went back down. So now have to drill out the broken bolt this weekend.
If i go E85, I will let you know corey. Might just stick with the boost solenoid for now to achieve around 380-400hp.
Thanks for all your help Induction Performance and any others which have posted.

Manual boost controllers are unstable. You can get a Mac solenoid for $40 on eBay. Wires directly to ems.
From my last setup to now, I added 117whp on e85 and adding 3 psi. E85 is free horsepower.
