It seems odd that just the nose drive gears are toast..

thats an odd thing to toast unless the oil leaked out.. we've toasted ALOT of blowers and the only time we had that problem was when the mess leaked.

yeah, i honestly have no idea how the F it happened, cuase he commented when my blower was apart how good the nose drive was. so he didnt rebuild it and sent it back to me. sucks, sucks hard core right now.

side note, the vibrant ultra quiet resonator came in. too bad the car is crippled, so no going to local place to get installed just yet.

sooooo, heres an update:

after not getting anyone on the phone since monday, i realized i was calling a number of theres that doesnt get answered and the voicemail doesnt get checked. thanks iphone for making it easy to return calls from voicemail screen, and dial the number they called me from, and it not be the main number. <SIGH>

anyways, spoke to bob today, and he agreed the drive failed. great, now we are both on the same page. he didnt realize i was spinning it at 18k+, and thinks that did it in. well, it was fine previously, soooo, i still tend to think something went wrong with assembly. he is fixing it and it should be in my hand by next weekend.

will follow up on how it goes. till then, car sits yet another week

if you had asked me 5+ years ago if i was gonna have my s2k spend more time in the garage then on the road i never woulda said yes. but in the last 2.5 years it has seen
11k miles, and 6600 of that is dragon trips.
