Default Engine Torque damper

With all the reports on cracked turbo manis and the like, which may be attributed by the engine's excessive movement, I am wondering if anyone have used the Tq damper with success? Are the ones currently on the market (ie., Js) any good? Do they actually lasts as I heard that some of them fail quite quickly?

What solutions are people using to minimize the engine movement, if any?

funny you should mention this because I'm dealing with this situation right now,

I had the Tq damper on and had two cracks develop. The fear was that all the vibrations were essentially working their way out the tip of the manifold. (I have a full race copy)

I removed the ETD and now my engine hurls itself around the engine bay, hard to watch since it seams so unrestrained, I'm going to reinstall the ETD today since it seamed like I had less problems without it. Now it makes a bunch of new noises so I want to see if they disappear with re-install...

Engine mounts!

Seriously, if your engine is moving that much check them. No point trying to fix a broken engine mount with an ETD.

The engine is not moving more than usual. Its just that I'm trying to suppress the movement further from stock if you like as I can only see benefits to be had from doing it as opposed to not having one. Am I making any sense?

in also installing the ETD as I'm trying to minimize movement. Specially with the inlinepro kit using the 35R where the housing is very damn close to the frame.
