Default EVC on turbo exhaust

Hey Guys,

So i finally got my 2.2l motor swap done on my car. The motor had a 3mm headgasket and a turbo kit installed.

The tune was done with stock exhaust... it is a big change from my supercharged T1R 63mm aural terror i had before

It made 384 at 14.5psi and when the tuner upped the boost to 16 it made no more power... so i am looking to keep the nice quiet cruising exhaust while still making a bit more power when i go hi boost...

So i was looking to do the best of both worlds and do an electroncic valve control and have it welded onto my downpipe... so when i want to race and up the boost i could open this up and be able to up the boost... has anyone done this before...? im guessing i would need to fabricate a new downpipe with valve...

any input would be appreciated...

Quicktime performance is what my buddy is using on his Srt, they are a bit pricey but they are nice and you can open and close it at anytime, here's a link

They are also known as exhaust cutouts or electric cutouts. Here is an example of one that is controlled via boost.
