Default Full Blown CV axles?

So I bought my car used and it already had the full blown 8.8 kit.

It makes a knocking sound early on in the ride so I had a buddy pull the rear end off (assuming something was dorked up inside). It had an Eaton diff which was awesome but we went ahead and replaced the gears with Ford racing gears and got fresh oil in it. The noise certainly is less but there is still a knock when going slow.

Upon further inspection, one of the axles had a little play in it. Pulled it and it looks like the bearing in the CV are worn down and one needle bearing is missing (my buddy told me this, I could be wording it wrong).

He has been looking everywhere for something similar but can't locate a replacement. He took it to a CV repair shop who said they'd repair it for $50 but didn't know what parts to order. My buddy called Full Blown and said they were little help.

Any help?

Have you tried contacting drive shaft shop? They produce the axles for the kit. I know when I got my axles for the 8.8 they had some type of part number on them but I do not have those tags anymore.

I literally just went through this with dss, no local axles shops can get the old ford parts anymore in my location. I had to send the axle to dss for repair and it took almost a month to get the axle back.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, been out of the country a couple of weeks.

So it sounds like I am going to have to send these things to DSS? Kind of crazy that is the only solution to this.

You can order parts from them, you will need to measure and send them the info. I needed a complete bar change so I had to send it in.
