No....you can slip the cover over the mani while it's on the car, then it gets safety wired on

Forgot to mention there is also PTP. They will custom make you a blanket.

PTP? they got a website? ATP quoted me 385 first just a manifold cover.

Apologies for not getting back to you. Yes, the above link is correct. If you can spare the coin using both a blanket and iconel would give you something akin to the OE header heat shield. If you look inside the OE header heat shield you'll see a fibrous heat shield and of course over that is the metallic shield.
