very true, no matter what a dyno says you can't argue with the track

Ive had Jeff tune a couple of my cars and his dyno has always read very close to the readings of the mustang dynos. A little higher but still not a big change like that. I wonder if IAT had anything to do with it.

lol, there's no way that your numbers from a dyno that typically reads high are going to match a dyno that typically reads low. meanwhile evan's is saying his dyno matches a dynojet which is in the middle of the two. and the OP went to evans and a mustang and was off by an expected amount. unless they entered the completely wrong weight for your car the mustang should have been noticeably lower like the OP's results.

I take a pass on that dyno at Performance. My friend's STOCK S2000 read 240whp. Granted, I think talking about absolute numbers is a complete waste of time but if we are anyway, at least it should be close!

The boosted cars on this dyno consistently read low, while stock cars are reading at or close to their manufactuer stated crank output.

I heard they recalibrated their dyno, but who knows.

I plucked this from a site I cannot find at the moment, but just some FYI

Disadvantages of Roller Dynos...

...the tighter you tie a car into the dyno the more friction between the rubber on the wheels and the rollers on the dyno, this in turn applies more load to the engine making it harder for it to make power. You can not accurately account for this difference each and every time a car goes on the dyno the straps will be a different tension. Other important factors are tire pressure, tire position on the roller, direction the tire is facing and temperate of the tire, all of these uncontrollable factors effect the power

The last time I did a stock baseline on a Mustang, I read 186whp. However, when doing 1/4 mile simulations, it was pretty damn close to what stock s2ks do in the 1/4.

dev, it was retuned, but a completely stock s2k made 230whp the same day that passman went on the dynos.

what i find interesting about the mustang dyno you used is that stock s2k's are reading 225-235whp, yet your boosted s2k made substantially less than it made on the dynapack.
i dont pay attention to that dyno. i read 228 whp stock. and someone just read 232 whp on a stock S2000 with a K&N intake and HKS exhaust
