CTSC going in this weekend with stock boost. Right now I just have the OEM injectors. Most people have been using RC injectors, but they have poor atomization and non-linear response at low pulse widths (e.g. idle and part throttle). ID injectors seem to be the bees knees right now.

This is true Brad, and how this will equate to working with the E-manage will be interesting to find out. I don't think there are too many people that have tried ID's and the E-manage combo, being technology from two different eras essentially.

Congrats on the CT kit btw, one mans loss is another mans gain in this case. Bummer about Johns car accident.

BTW, Giles is (was) the foremost expert, unfortunately Ballistic Motorsports has ceased to exist, so no way to get his help now.

The other expert is mugenrios2k and I am rapidly becoming the local EMU apostle, I've already helped one person rewire their fubared Greddy harness and terrible tune (i.e. 7 degrees timing advance WOT at max RPM).

Yup, it was really too bad w/John. I think he has managed to sell most everything, fortunately.

What a lot of people misunderstand about the EMU is that it really does directly control the injectors (rather than the backdoor method of fooling the MAP sensor ala VAFC2). In other words, the EMU doesn't care what injectors it's driving, assuming lag times and voltage calibration tables for varying battery voltage are set-up properly. Proper saturated, high impedence injectors like the ID ones should function no differently with the EMU than any other injector of the same type. Now how well the injector injects fuel is the injectors job, all the EMU can do is send a pulse of the proper width, which it can do just fine.

I'm not interested in getting into another VAFC vs E-manage debate Brad so lets not go down this road. But realize the outcome is theoretical until you get the set up in place and going. The process in which the units behave means nothing if the net result is garbage. Personally I don't care to run garbage and neither did the s2ki member that paid me good money to remove his E-manage and hook up the factory comptech system. He’s much happier now

Fair enough. Any engine management system will be poor unless it is properly understood. A lot of people are fine with VAFC because there ain't that much you can screw up.

But hey, if I can't get it working, you know I'll have to eat a lot of crow.

Mark, Mugenrios2k is running emange with his SOT kit and is probably one of the best EMU tuners out there. PM him any questions you have.
